5 Transforms a real mess into a spotless success.
Posted by William Wright on Dec 3rd 2024
Tineco FloorWasher Pet Cordless - 5 Series. Tineco’s Floorwasher Pet Cordless manages this all with minimal duress. Color me impressed. Having a tool in our home that is close-at-hand and ready to scrub away a surprise from our feline friend or any other accident is a stress reducer. And the Tineco is also our floor maintenance strategy. When our grandson arrives, spending his entire visit sprawled out on the floor, we’re confident that our tile and wood floors have been scrubbed to perfection. SETUP: The Tineco FloorWasher comes out of the box only a few steps away from being ready to use. The handle needs to be slipped onto the attractive, precision engineered wash and collections tank body. Set this assembly onto the charging station (for over 4 hours) which is plugged into an outlet with the included low voltage brick. Tineco also includes a quart of cleaner/deodorizer CONCENTRATE. Don’t ignore the dilution instructions: 1 cap of cleaner to approx 1 quart of water into the clean water supply tank. Tineco expects that you will use only their fluids in the FloorWasher. PERFORMANCE: I don’t know why having freshly cleaned floors should be so exciting, but it is. The Tineco’s rolling brush helps pull the head forward as you walk along behind the machine, and it does make the job seem less onerous. The combination of densely packed rolling brush and dirt dissolving cleaning fluid, accompanied by a strong suction deeply and effectively cleans away a mess or long-collecting, ground-in grime. Tineco cleans. It has no trouble cleaning along edges. The auto mode applied an appropriate amount of water, and the suction pulled that dirty water off our floors so effectively that the floors were almost dry before we got a few feet further along. And the floors were so much cleaner. We could see no streaking. Numbers: [Let’s agree that there is no typical use and our experience was unique, so that even we couldn’t repeat it.] Water/cleaner tank capacity is approximately 1 quart. The collection bin holds somewhat more than a quart. We cleaned a 100 sq ft area in a leisurely 10 minutes, with the Tineco, mostly on its MAX mode setting, and available for use until we emptied the first tank of water/cleaner. This first effort drained 20% of the battery capacity. So some quick, and very optimistic, calculations suggests that we might achieve 5 more sessions available on the battery, with 5 more tanks of water, so we could clean 500 sq ft in an hour of run time. This was OUR experience. Rough calculations. Equally rough estimates. But well past the Tineco suggested 35 minute run time. SUMMARY: The overall impression the Tineco FloorWasher Pet Cordless leaves is its ease-of-use. Our previous experiences with this type of appliance was a memory of a messy, complicated, off-putting project. The Tineco was so easy to get up and running, so easy to fill that single water supply tank, so easy to operate and finally, so easy to empty. The cleanup is critically important, because you do not want to put away a dirty brush or collection tank. But, this again was easy. The various pushes, pulls, emptying activities are fairly intuitive and they work. The emptying tank has a very tight top gasket (a good thing) and all other pieces are snug but manageable. We really like our FloorWasher. Recommended.

5 The easiest way to clean your hard floors
Posted by Tracy Odom on Dec 3rd 2024
This is the perfect kind of device that I had no idea existed before but now I can’t imagine going back to life without it. I have replaced all the flooring in my house over the years with laminate, tile, and LVP and have no carpet left. So, it has always been a huge task to keep up with mopping throughout the 2000 sq feet I have to contend with. Honestly, it rarely got done and we stuck to just vacuuming regularly. Learning that this floor scrubber existed filled me with enthusiasm for the possibilities of a cleaner set of floors and making that job significantly easier to boot. I am thrilled to be able to say that it met or exceeded every expectation I had and has made cleaning my floors somewhat fun rather than a mindless chore. The Tineco Floor Washer Pet cordless mop is a phenomenal device. It is lightweight, compact, and easy to use. The setup was straightforward, just a simple dock to plug in, insert the handle, pull off the packing material, and after spending a few hours charging on said dock it had enough juice to get started. Filling the clean water tank with mostly water and a cap full of the included cleaning solution was all I needed to do other than power it on and get moving. It has more than enough cleaning power to get through the dirtiest areas of my house such as right in front of my dogs feeding space and would automatically adjust the amount of suction and energy based on the dirt detected below. I can also set it to maximum clean manually if I need to, but I never had to do so as it always adjusted appropriately as I went. The battery life is great considering its size and what it does, but I did have to split my house into two halves to let it charge again to continue with the other half since I have so much hard flooring to clean. From here on out if I am more selective about the areas I clean instead of trying to tackle all of it at once it will not be a problem again. It talks to you when it needs something such as a tank refill or to empty the dirty water tank on the front side. When done with a cleaning cycle, when you place it back on the dock it will detect whether the roller brush needs to be cleaned and with the press of one button it will self-clean as well. It’s just all around impressive and so easy. It is capable of vacuuming and mopping simultaneously as it has a filer system in the dirty tank for separating particulates or pet hair, but with two dogs that filter gets overwhelmed very quickly so its still best to vacuum or sweep first and only let the floor washer catch wayward dog hairs or other small things. With that all in mind, after using it to clean every floor in my house my floors have never felt cleaner than they do now. When we would do the job the old-fashioned way, we could usually feel a bit of a latent film on the ground from the dried mop water, but with the Floor Washer that effect is gone as well and we have only perfectly clean, quickly dried floors throughout the house. If you can put water in a small tank and know how to use a simple vacuum, you can use the Floor Washer. The only real downside is that I didn’t get one sooner. I can’t recommend it enough. If you have lots of hard floors and hate mopping, then do yourself a favor and get one of these. You’ll find yourself looking for reasons to use it and will never regret the feeling of a completely clean floor beneath your feet.

5 No more mop
Posted by Amanda Sanford on Dec 2nd 2024
This is my first standing vacuum/mop. I have used various robot types before like Roomba and ecovacs and they are a completely different experience. I have had my Tineco for some time and I am happy with it overall and lets discuss what I like and what you should consider if you are considering picking one up yourself. I only use my Tineco in the bathroom and kitchen the rest of my place is carpeted, and this is meant for tiled or other kinds of flooring this is very important to know please do not think this is for carpeted flooring. I would also like to say that there is a learning curve with this much like anything new, it isn’t as straight forward as you would think. I learned the hard way this device is best used to clean your floor without things like in the advertised scenarios showing someone cleaning up spilled cereal and other cases. I would suggest that you stick to cleaning light messes and nothing like sticky substances like syrup, Hershey’s or stuff like that. I have a few children and things can get messy at times. If you do clean up big messes then you would also have to disassemble the mop/vacuum and clean it up too because that may affect the longevity or cause other issues down the line. This is somewhat similar to a robot vacuum/mop because you need to perform maintenance and no device like this is free of maintenance. You need to empty bins, change water/solution and whatnot. The battery life is alright at best 35 minutes is good for those with small spaces like myself, and it is advertised at that and I get roughly a half an hour being that I learned to move things in advance being that there is a time constraint not being able to plug this in and all to an outlet that I would say would be an Achilles heel. It would be awesome to plug it in and charge it like your phone does. Charge it before your initial use and take my advice DO NOT let the battery deplete otherwise you will not be able to do the self-cleaning in the dock. ::: Closing thoughts ::: Normally my review format includes pros and cons, but for this device I just spoke my mind and I would say while this is not a perfect device, I am most certainly glad I have it. Just be sure to disassemble it and clean it out thoroughly, and you will not end up with funny odors. Doing so will help you increase the life of the device. My only worry is the life span of the battery. Get the geek squad warranty and you should be fine and will be glad you did especially if anything goes wrong.

5 Great for every day use
Posted by Gina Lewis on Nov 26th 2024
This vacuum is ideal for homes with hard floors. It excels at picking up large debris, fine dirt, and spills. However, it struggles with caked-on messes due to its lack of hard scrubbing power. The vacuum is lightweight and almost effortless to use, thanks to its self-propelling feature, which significantly reduces cleaning time and strain on your back and shoulders. The reservoir tank lasts surprisingly long, and the concentrated cleaning formula requires only a capful per tank. Additionally, it comes with several brush heads and a cleaning wand, so you won’t need replacement rollers for a while. The LED interface is visually appealing but slightly confusing at first. I had some trouble understanding the indicators initially. Occasionally, the mopping section leaves spotty patches on my hard floors, though this hasn’t been an issue in my tile kitchen. Overall, the device is very comfortable to use. While I would prefer a slightly longer handle, it’s still easy to hold and navigate. I love the self-cleaning option, and the charging pan effectively prevents excess water from leaking onto the floor. The vacuum has strong cleaning power, easily picking up larger debris and pet fur. However, for a deeper clean, some manual scrubbing may be necessary, as this vacuum is designed more for maintenance than deep cleaning.

5 Deep cleaner that’s high tech!
Posted by Walter Schmidt on Nov 24th 2024
Cleaning floors is often hard with pets and the messes they leave behind. Well with our dog making some fun messes this past week it gave the great opportunity to test the Timeco floor washer pert series. It took us roughly 15 minutes to get all set up and going as it was really simple. The charging didn’t really take that long, roughly 3 hours came back and it was already to go. In the box I got deep cleaning and deodorizing cleaner plus 2 filters 3 rollers and a charging dock. All the stuff neatly fit in dock and was actually saved space. Once we turned on the cleaner and poured in the cleaner, the lcd screen was bright and had some modes to easily to choose from. Plus showed the battery life. It’s very lightweight so can move it around very easy additionally once we got it on the ground we noticed it perfectly edges against the wall! That was a lifesaver. No more missed spots while cleaning everywhere. Overall this cleaner is smart, easy to use and is worth every penny when it comes to doing the task. I include a before and after picture on our tile floor and it even cleaned the grout lines when get ting the mess up!

5 quiet and easy to use
Posted by Michelle Adams on Nov 22nd 2024
This is the second vacuum of this type I have used and this one is so much better than the first one. Tineco makes a great product that is easy to use, very lightweight, and quiet. Unpacking and setting up the vacuum was super easy! Tineco even included three brush rollers, a second air filter, and a cleaning tool. The cleaning tool is super helpful, we have dogs and lots of hair. This hair will get stuck in the suction tube of the vacuum and clog (hasn't happened with the Tenico yet) my prior machine did not include a cleaning tool making it difficult to unclog the tube. If you plan to connect the vacuum to the iPhone/android app make sure you scan the bar code that is under the water tank holder. The app was not clear on this, and I was trying to scan the QR code on the back of the machine. Once I scanned the correct code the app updated, and the vacuum connected to my Wi-Fi. In the app you can change the language, update firmware, see user manual, and adjust volume. The app will give you the status of the vacuum and the consumable parts. You can also adjust if you are using just water or water and Tineco solution. Lastly the app does give a cleaning report and lets you know how many times the water is just dirty or severely dirty. This is not needed but is nice to see when your floor is at its dirtiest. When using the vacuum the display turns on with a blue ring. This ring is the dirt indicator and will turn red when it detects heavy dirt. Many times its mostly blue with a slight pinkish tone letting you know that the floor is not heavily dirty. You can also leave the machine in Auto mode, max mode, or suction modes. I found that auto mode worked the best to clean my floors. I did try out Max mode and while it did a heavier cleaning it also went through the water tank a lot quicker. This machine will also do a self-clean when you put the device back on the charger. You do have to initiate the cleaning, but it seems to do a great job and keeping manual maintenance to a minimum. I do remove the dirty water tank after each cleaning session and rinse it out and let it dry in the sink. If you have dogs you will need to wipe out the top part of the dirty tank with a towel to get the dog hair out of the tank. Even though the machine is not loud it does a great job of cleaning and vacuuming the floors all at once. My house is mostly hardwood floors so I can pretty much use it everywhere. I did go over area rugs and other rugs just to pick up loose dog hair and the machine had no issues and the carpets where not soaking wet. I did have a few spots on my floor that had dried smeared dirt on the floor and I had to go over twice to fully get the area clean. Overall, this is a really nice machine, and I love how easy it is to use. The battery lasts a very long time, and it is easy to maintain. I love that it is not super loud and I can still have a conversation with someone in the room without having to yell. It is also great that Tineco included replacement parts and cleaning tools as many other companies do not do this.

5 Premium vacuum hiding in a practical, useful form!
Posted by Christopher Tapia on Nov 19th 2024
The Tineco Floorwasher PET 5 series is a must have cleaning tool that combines vacuuming and mopping into one fun to use device. It has transformed my cleaning routine, especially in a household with pets. This is an impressive vacuum brand to someone (me) that would only usually purchase vacs from a brand that starts with “D” or a bot that starts with “i”. It is a PREMIUM vacuum that is deceptively hidden in a very practical form. -Design and Setup The Tineco Floorwasher PET 5 series seems to be designed with convenience in mind. It has a minimalist, modern look and is way easy to set up right out of the box. The assembly is just attaching the handle to the main unit and setting up the charging base, which also provides storage for accessories like an extra roller and cleaning brush, but those items can be left out of the build to make it even more sleek. It’s definitely not like the utilitarian brands that force you to hang all your accessories on the base or vacuum itself. You can choose more or less and I like having that choice. It’s definitely premium. The vac is cordless, which adds to its maneuverability, allowing for easy movement around furniture and tight spaces. -Performance and Features One of the standout features of the Tineco Floorwasher PET 5 series is its iLoop Smart Sensor technology. This feature automatically adjusts the suction power, water flow, and roller speed based on the dirtiness of the floor, ensuring efficient cleaning without wasting resources. Generally, these types of claims are gimmicky and don’t really do anything more than “medium.” But, in my testing, it always spent more cleaning solution on dirtier areas and less in less trafficed areas, so I guess the sensor really is doing something. There are essentially three settings: suction only, AUTO (iLoop) and Max. The max level will quickly get through its clean solution tank, so I’d recommend using auto. The Max setting doesn’t seem to mop areas any better than doing a second or third pass using the more economical settings, however, if you are vacuuming up larger derbis, then Max is useful because the suction increases when in that mode. There should be a max suction/regular solution mode, but for sake of simplicity... nope! The vacuum is equipped with two large tanks: one for clean water and another for dirty water, which helps maintain hygiene during cleaning. I thought that it was fairly effective at screening out larger items with its optional screening device inside the dirty water tank. This is a feature I haven't seen even in some professional steam cleaning units. For pet owners, this device is particularly good. It effectively picks up pet hair, dander, and even small debris like cat litter. With this you don’t have to use multiple vacs to do one job such as using a traditional vacuum first just to use a power mop or bot. Although they recommend using only Tineco solution, you could probably use a natural pet odor killing enzymatic to destroy cat/dog urine odors on your hard floors. -Ease of Use Using the Tineco Floorwasher PET 5 series is fairly simple and straightforward. The LED display provides real-time updates on battery life and cleaning power, which is helpful during longer cleaning sessions. The self-propelled feature reduces the physical effort to use it. It’s seriously in easy mode. And, this vac TALKS TO YOU, and what it is telling you is very useful. The vac will tell you verbally which tanks need changing, and what status it’s in. The only thing I wish is that the voice was louder with the speaker on the handle itself so you could hear it better over operation. THIS IS A VERY VERY QUIET POWER MOP and VACUUM. I marvel at the strength of the suction because this vac is so so quiet. Not expected, and super lux! -Maintenance Maintenance is relatively simple with the self-cleaning feature, which cleans the brush and dirty water channel after use. This feature is crucial for keeping the device ready for the next cleaning session without manual scrubbing. I found that since I have bots going all the time in this house, I didn’t have much cleaning to do on the vac. Your milage may vary, however, they recommend cleaning it every use and I can see the vac getting fairly grubby if you don’t do the recommended cleaning. A help is that they give you double the supplies you need so you CAN swap parts while the others dry. YES, you need to rinse parts and only reinstall them when they are DRY. Oh, there are consumables. This vacuum shares parts with the Floor One S5 Series Tineco vacs, so you can buy discounted Floor One S5 parts and they will fit nicely. -Drawbacks The battery life could be better. This vac is so light, but I'm sure another 2000mAh would have helped me to clean my entire first floor without waiting for a charge in between. Also, the charge time could be faster. 3.5h for a full charge is honestly an eternity these days. The cleaning cycle could be better. I think that it could be a little longer and it could sense a little better to keep cleaning the brushes and internal hoses. I fix this by doing a clean cycle twice. When you’re trying to clean under cabinets and tables, you are limited to about 130 degrees physically. If you try to go for more than that... well you can’t the vac won’t bend any more. If it could lay flat to get under things it would be the vac of the year. ---- Overall, the Tineco Floorwasher PET 5 series is amazingly premium and practical for those seeking an efficient and effective cleaning solution, particularly in homes with pets. Its vacuuming and mopping prowess, smart tech, practical design, and ease of use are surprising and wonderful to discover. I’m saying this about a VACUUM. It’s that good!
