WINIX - Tower 360 Sq. Ft. Air Purifier - Black

I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase this while it was on sale and I’m so glad I did. Both me and my boyfriend have noticed a tremendous difference in our allergies and breathing. I’ve also noticed that any weird lingering odors we have tend to go away after running the air purifier for a few hours a day. I bought this in august of 2021 and I have not had to buy any new filters for it yet. Possibly because I do clean and maintain the reusable ones. I would recommend this air purifier over other brands and models.

I did some research on different brands of air purifiers and compared prices . I needed two and the Winix tower was on sale at Best Buy . I was amazed at the difference they made just a few hours after I turned them on. I have springtime allergies and I couldn’t open my windows to get fresh air cause my allergies got worse, but my husband smokes in the house so it stinks and opening the windows helped . I was ashamed for anyone to come in because of the cigarette smell . We also have a dog . Wow , what a difference , the cigarette smell is gone , my allergies have calmed down . I checked my filters today and they will need to be changed sooner than recommended I’m sure but it just proves they are working . I’ve already bought two new ones and ready for when they are needed. Shop around. The filters are a little pricey , but Amazon has them for the best price. My husband thought I was wasting my money when I told him I’d bought the purifiers and now it’s the first thing he turns on when he gets up in the morning. I’m 100% satisfied , so glad I bought them. Just hope I haven’t jinxed myself by bragging so much.

Great air purifier. Saw a buddy has one in a house he was moving into that had been abandoned for 3+ years with furniture and boxes, old rugs and after 4 hours it smelled brand new. Very easy to set up and maintain. After I saw how his worked here I am and I’m saying do the same!

This model is the second Winix purifier in my house, after buying the 5300-2. The difference between this model and the 5300-2 is their carbon filters. This model has the washable carbon filter where the 5300-2 has 4 replacement ones. But both are interchangeable since the 5300-2 & 5500-2 are pretty much identical. This purifier is one of the best out there for this price point and happy I snagged it for a discount. Only gripe is that the remote that comes with this didn’t have a battery included. Other than that, I’m very satisfied and definitely recommend any air purifier coming from Winix.

My friend got the same unit that is made in Korea. The one i got from bestbuy is from thailand. It makes whirring fan sound when the unit was jus started

Amazing air purifier. It automatically senses when their is a foul odor or fumes in the air and it kicks into action— you’ll notice because the notifications light switches from blue to red. I’ve actually seen it start purifying after I’ve sprayed chemicals, so I feel assured that it’s working all the time. It is definitely a must-have for me, especially since I’ve spent so much time indoors due to the current pandemic.

So I’ve been using this for 9 months nearing a year and I can safely say it’s great! I have a room 10x10 what a normal room might be like and I can tell it filters. I have no idea how people can tell when the air is lighter I can not but can surely say it does clean it. I do have carpet and fuzzy blankets and a lot of linty clothes and it sucks it all up. I do clean it monthly of course and for the most part I leave it on all day at night the blue light bar dims witch I find to be cool and absolutely not a bother it detects when it’s bright or dark you can also put it in sleeping mode witch puts it in low and turns the blue bar off. Otherwise it was a great purchase I like it the filters are on amazing prices differ so I can’t really say “X” amount cause it might change. Great air purifier no complaints and no regrets.

Overall, very satisfied with this product. Currently using it in the bedroom and for the price, it has a lot of nice features such as air quality indicator, auto and night mode. Only negative is that the light on top for night mode is still bright.
